Amateur Radio Projects

Home Page

This site is geared toward documenting my building of useful projects for Amateur Radio.

In keeping with the true spirit of Amateur Radio, I decided to build the majority of my HF station. It's always nice to comment to people I meet on the radio that the signal they're hearing is from a radio I personally built.

A large, well-known kit supplier from the 70s and early 80s had long since gone out of business before I took on the role of kit builder. Other manufacturers had to be found to take the place of this legendary company if I were to be successful in building a quality Amateur Radio station.

Elecraft is one such company that exceeds my expectations in quality and customer support. They have a huge following of almost cult proportion. I am now glad to be a member of the Elecraft family of satisfied customers and the proud builder of K2 #6483 and K3 #3128.
